Clocks were originally known as floor clocks or long case clocks. A song composed in 1875, called “The grandfather clocks,” told the story of an aging floor clock that was in the George Hotel in North Yorkshire, England. Two brothers managed the hotel. The clock has started slowly losing time after the death of one of the brothers, and after the death of his second brother, the clock stopped working completely flat despite numerous attempts to have the clock repaired. Finally, the new administration took control of George Hotel, but the watch remained in effect as a tribute to two brothers who run the faithfully for many years. The term “clock” captured immediately after the song became widely known and since then, which were originally known as Plan are commonly known as clocks and watches are some of our popular culture.
